The Saturday's Una Healy has revealed all about her infertility worries and pregnancy concerns in an honest interview with Fabulous Magazine.
Una was left stunned when doctors told her she might not be able to have children after a routine test showed some abnormalities with her thyroid. Doctors diagnosed her with Hashimoto's hyperthyroidism - an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid gland and can cause infertility.
She said, "I freaked out. I'd been for this check-up just like the rest of the girls and we'd had blood tests, smear tests, the lot. Everything came back fine apart from this problem with my thyroid.
"When I found out it could make getting pregnant difficult, there was not question. Straight away, I said to Ben: 'Let's stop not trying and see what happens.' I didn't want to put it off if there were going to be problems."
Luckily Una didn't have to wait for long before she conceived. The pop starlet continued to work throughout her pregnancy, but admitted a burst of energy at the six month mark helped her through.
She said, "I fully expected it to possibly not happen al all. I was never one of those broody people. If it hadn't been for that check-up I'd probably have kept putting it off and thinking I had loads of time."
Aoife is now 18-months old now, but Una admits she would like a little brother or sister for her beautiful daughter.
She said, " We both want another one, but definitely not now. I'm enjoying her while she's still little. Our whole world revolves around Aoife and it would be very difficult with work. But we'll see."
Awwww, we'd love to see another little baby with those excellent genes!
