Gisele Bundchen was interviewed recently by Food & Wine Magazine, and it's safe to say, she does a lot for the environment, for health and for her little one..she's pretty perfect really.

Aside from her svelte bikini bod, big pay cheques and cute family snapshots, here's the lowdown on why Gisele is better than you.

Why Gisele is better than you

1. She makes homemade snacks for her son

When she's not busy strutting her stuff on the runways, she tries her hand at teaching her son to make his own school snacks...

"Benjamin and I make his school snack together - fruit leather in our dehydrator. You can use any fruit, but I always use banana as the base because it has great texture and sweetness. My son is so proud; he goes to school and tells all his friends he made his own snack."

2. She lives in Brazil

Brazil, from all accounts is flipping amazing, so that's a reason in itself and Gissy lets us in on just how amazing her home country actually is.

"In the southeast, there's a place called Bonito, with the most fantastic waterfalls. You walk into this forest and you feel like you're in Avatar."

3. She drinks aloe with tequila

Aloe's a super healthy drink but when paired with tequila, you make Gisele's House Lemonade. She lets us in on how to make it.

"I make an aloe-lemon drink that's pretty healthy, but you could add tequila. Juice three lemons, peel fresh aloe, add a teaspoon of coconut nectar and a gallon of water, and blend it."

4. She has chickens and a compost heap

It's waste not, want not in the Hardy household and her chickens are great for the environment, obvs.

"I have a beautiful garden in L.A. where I raise chickens. We have very little waste because the chickens eat all of the vegetable scraps, and anything they won't eat, I put in my compost pile with the chicken poo."

5. Her environmental work

Being a board member of an important environmental organisation is Gisele's latest project and we think it's a noble effort.

"After attending the Rainforest Alliance gala, I connected with their efforts to conserve the environment and help impoverished communities. I recently joined their board, so now I can participate more in their projects that I'm passionate about."
