Nick Grimshaw has defended his friendship with One Direction's Harry Styles saying, "It's not that weird".
The Radio 1 DJ said that he doesn't understand why so many people find his friendship with the singer weird despite the age difference between the pals.
According to Now Magazine, the 28-year-old said, "It's not that weird, is it?"
He added, "It seems totally normal to me: a DJ being mates with a popstar. It's not like he's some weirdo who can't talk. He's really funny.
"When anyone meets him, it's like, 'Oh yeah, he's really nice and interesting'. And they immediately understand."
The pair got a lot of media attention when they partied after February's Brit Awards ceremony in London.
They even co-hosted Grimmy's Radio 1 show the morning after the awards.
Nick explained, "Once it got to 4am, I knew there was no point in going to bed, so we decided to go back to mine, and I made the deal that if we stayed up, then I'd get Harry to do the show with me.
"I thought it would be bad if it was just me on my own as the only hungover person.
"Afterwards I said to Harry, 'Was that funny? Or were we just really hungover and thought we were being hilarious?' But I think people enjoyed it."
Do you think people are just being weird about the pair's friendship?
