From Jessica Chastain's amazing performance in Zero Dark Thirty to the return on legendary director Terrence Mallick with To The Wonder, here's our list of treats for you to get your hands on this week...

Zero Dark Thirty

The film is a chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May, 2011.

We follow the journey of Maya, a key member of the elite team of spies and military operatives who have secretly devoted themselves to finding Osama Bin Laden.

Handbag hearts:

We love Kathryn Bigelow because anyone brave enough to try and tell this amazing story deserves some praise.

But it's all about Jessica Chastain and her brilliant delivery of a character who made it her goal to find the world's most wanted man.

Her character is tough, determined and doesn't back down when she's doubted, the typical traits of a women on a mission and we love seeing them being shown in such an important moment in history.

Verdict: We still can't believe this flick missed out on the big awards this year but you can give it a well deserved place in your DVD collection.

To The Wonder

The film is centred on a man who is torn between the collapsing marriage with his European wife and his old flame from his hometown.

Handbag hearts: If you're a fan of director Terrence Malick then you'll revel in the abstract style that this tale is told. Lots of stunning shots and emotive words mean that you'll get lost in this escapist flick.

Verdict: Not one for people who want a simple watch but a great piece that really does leave you wondering.

The film follows two young girls who are in a car accident with their father after he does a terrible deed. Abandoned in a forest cabin, they manage to survive thanks to the help of an "unknown" entity.

Eventually they are found by their uncle and his girlfriend who take them in and try to help the girl adjust back to life in the normal world. But Mama isn't going to let her girls be taken away that easily...

Handbag hearts: Jessica Chastain obviously! No matter what role you put her in she manages to play it with ease. We almost feel like she took this film to make sure no one could ever try and pigeon-hole her as an actress.

The film is very dependant on the two young actress playing the little girls and they do a superb job in such a fantasy film but Jess can be happy she is now part of the horror actresses crew.

Verdict: A Guillermo Del Toro film is never really going to be a bad move for any actor!
