It's no secret that French pharmacies are the beauty temple for makeup artists, models and beauty bloggers alike.

But did you know there were other wondrous beauty stores to get your French beauty haul from?

Blogger Hayley, aka London Beauty Queen, shares her top beauty haunts you need to visit next time you're in France.

"As soon as I land in Paris, I always head for the Sephora store on the Champs Elysees which holds everything beauty-related imaginable. I love the Sephora own brand toiletries and always stock up on body lotions and shower gels - they have some incredible scents, including chocolate and hazelnut, which you just can't get in the UK," Hayley says.

What to buy? We recommend this Monoi oil bubble bath, the perfect scent for summer (€8.95,

French pharmacies

Obviously, you can't go to France without stocking up on some French pharmacy beauty essentials, including Avène Eau Thermale. It would be a crime.

Hayley says: "The pharmacies in France are also amazing, offering a huge range of skincare products in bumper sizes - although you can now get Bioderma in the UK, I always stock up in Paris as you can grab two huge bottles for around £18 (a massive saving)."

Yves Rocher

France's best kept beauty secret? "I also love the cheaper brand Yves Rocher, which is kind of like a French Avon; they offer lots of colourful cosmetics at bargain prices which are fab to experiment with. They're now available online in the UK, but there's nothing like visiting one of their stores and having a play for an hour or two," reveals Hayley.

If you can't quite afford the Eurostar ticket, then we recommend this pretty and practical Yves Rocher Luminelle blush for a healthy summer glow (£4.95, Yves Rocher).
